The Good News

Christ paid the price for everyone’s sin.

The Bible says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom. 5:8 NASV

And He Himself [Christ] bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1Pet. 2:24 NASV

“He [God] made Him [Christ] who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Cor. 5:21 NASV

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NASV

Without Christ we are all in the same boat and it’s sinking.

Why did God send His son to be the sin sacrifice for the world? Because we all needed it! There is no one who is perfect. We all mess up sometimes. Some of us mess up worse than others, but we all fall short of God’s standard.

The Bible says, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Rom. 3:23

Even though God knows we blow it. He is holy and His standards are perfect.

“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matt. 5:48

Again God said, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” 1Pet. 1:16

We can always find people who are more evil than we are. But when we compare ourselves to God’s standards of purity, truth, holiness, and glory–we fall short.
